BIO:
Adam and Torrey Roberts graduated from Asbury University in 2001 with a degree in philosophy and psychology respectively. They began work at Sheridan House Family Ministry as behavior specialists in residential homes for teens with behavioral problems. This included leading parent meetings, meeting with parents on a weekly basis to teach parenting skills as well as creating personalized parenting plans. When necessary, they moved into the children’s home as houseparents.
Torrey worked in the residential homes until 2008 when their oldest son was born. She then began work as manager of Parenting on Purpose, which included recording and editing their podcast, writing content, speaking on parenting nationally and writing parenting articles. Adam has also served as youth pastor and pastor to young adults, where they spoke together to parents in their church communities. They currently reside in South Carolina with their sons Reuben (16) and Judah (13) and are part of Ocean View Baptist Church.
