The group is open for any young adults interested in songwriting. It will be Semester-based, every Tuesday evening from 6pm-9pm. The goal is community, the fruit is spiritual growth and music. The group would start with ice breakers/highs and lows to keep the environment a comfortable, safe place to be vulnerable with each other. Then, discuss Crew notes made for the prior Sunday’s sermon. Discussion will last about 45 minutes-1 hour, then we will discuss writing prompts/inspiration for the songwriting session (Christ-centered, of course). Based on talents, skills and interests, we will break in to smaller groups to begin writing sessions. Each group will write for roughly an hour and a half, and at the end, present what they came up with for that session. After each act, we will provide each other with constructive feedback.

I plan on conducting these writing sessions for the first half of the semester, then encouraging groups to finish/record/mix/master songs to have a finished product they can share with the world.🙏🏽🙌🏽

My intent is to start the group at my apartment, but depending on level of interest and attendance, potentially meeting at the church.
